The Naked Palette

Recently I have been coveting the Urban Decay Naked Palettes because of my love for natural beauty looks. Each palette is filled with 12 eye shadows all neutral shades from off white to practically every shade of brown to black.  Most of the colors have shimmer in them and all of the shadows are completely gorgeous and very pigmented.

Two days ago I finally made the decision to dish out the money to purchase one of the Naked palettes.  I had to make practically the biggest decision in my life, choosing between the Naked original and the Naked 2.  As a teenager without a regular job I was not in the budget to get both so I did extensive research on both palettes through reading blog posts and watching YouTube videos.  After fluctuating my preference between each of the palettes I eventually decided upon getting the Naked original palette and picked it up at my local Ulta store whilst running errands yesterday morning.
Today I created my first eye shadow look using the shadows starting out with the mini primer potion the palette comes with.  Then I took the color Sin (#2 from left) and put it all over my lid.  I darkened the outer corner with Naked (#3) and then a bit of Buck (#5).  I used Virgin (#1) to highlight my inner corner and my brow bone.  Lastly I used a small amount of Half Baked (#6) under the outer part of my lower lash line.  To complete the look I used a black eyeliner to line my upper lash line and then followed with mascara to define and volumize my lashes.  Today I was going for a softer look so I used the lighter shades but as time wears on I cant wait to experiment with all of the shadows and create more intense looks like a smokey eye.

Overall I'm in love with the palette and I definitely made the right choice by getting it.  The colors are extremely pigmented and last the entire day.  Also the Good Karma Shadow Brush included in the palette is very soft and works well with applying the shadows.  The palette sells for a price of $50.00 but I believe it is definitely worth it and is something everyone should have in their collection.
